and your favorite t-shirt, and lets sojourn on into the worlds of leisure,
travel, vacations, and relaxation!!!
CazChris' Vacation Tips!
- Don't wear a watch. Your on vacation, time means nothing to you! Live for the moment, and be spontaneous!
- Avoid a burn, plan to tan! Nothing spoils a sunny vacation more than a nasty sunburn! Keep the sun your friend and don't make it your enemy.
- Explore your surroundings. Don't be afraid to grab a rental car or taxi, and just point in a random direction and drive. Its often the unplanned adventures that provide the warmest memories.
- Be extra friendly to the natives! You are an ambassador of your country, and the locals will remember your pleasant demeanor and friendly smiles as traits of your home country. Besides, making friends with the locals can lead to other benefits like offers to see the sights, great parties, or local touristing tips!
CazChris' Suntanning Tips!
- Tan slowly. If you rush a tan, you will get burned! Burning is not fun, and I believe dangerous to your longterm skin health.
- Use strong sunscreen when starting a tan, then work your way down in SPF. Know your skin's sensitivity by starting off with SPF30 for a few days, then try the SPF 15 or SPF 10.
- Avoid 11am-2pm, the day's strongest rays! I like to lay out and enjoy a good hour or two of sunning. At peak hours, 30 minutes will burn you, so plan to lay out later in the day, or before 11am!
- Take the time of day into consideration when measuring your exposure. If 3pm-5pm did not burn you at SPF15, then don't change your SPF & tan times simultaneously!
If you move your time to 1pm-3pm, you will get more exposure, and SPF15 may me too little at that time. Watch the clock, and be smart.
- "I always burn first before I get my good tan" is hurting your tan! Burning is bad for your skin. You damaged it to the point that you must shed it. This cannot be good.
You can still get a good tan in 7 days without forcing a burn on day one!
- Apply moisture returning skin products before, during, and after each day of tanning. The sun will dry out your skin, and replenishing the lost moisture is essential to beatiful skin.
- Be wary of falling asleep in the sun, especially at peak hours.
