The Manana Net is an Amateur Radio service net serving Maritime Mobiles in the Sea of Cortez, the coast of mainland Mexico, South America, Alaska, and as far out into the Pacific as we can reach. Operating frequency is 14.340 mhz. Early bird session of the net starts at 1830 Z with the net opening at 1900 Z, Monday thru Saturday, (never on Sunday).
The Manana Net originated approximately 18 years ago by several amateur radio operators while cruising in the Sea of Cortez, Baja Calif. Mexico, Howard Munson, N6ANT, and Fred Pipher, KE6OA, were among the first.
