A boat ride on the Sea of Galilee (Matt, 14:22-33) from Tiberias to Capernaum will begin our day. Capernaum, Jesus' adopted home served as a base for his ministry in Galilee. On the north shore we visit the church of the Primacy of St. Peter (Matt, 16:17-19), and Tabagha, the site of the feeding multitude, and the Mount of the Beatitude, from which Jesus delivered the famous Sermon (Matt, 5). Time permitting we can visit Caesarea Phillippi (Banias), and the Golan Heights. We return to Tiberias via the "other side" passing the ruins of the Church at Gergesa (Kursi), which commemorates the miracle of the swine's (Matt, 8:28). Our last stop is Yardenit, a site for pilgrims who desire baptism in the Jordan river.

Travel southward through the Jordan Valley, pass by Bellevior, a crusaders' fortress and on to Bet-Shean. Visit the incredible Roman ruins and drive to Jericho, the oldest city in the world (Jos, 6:1), view the Mount Of Temptation (Matt, 4:8) and Elisha's fountain. We ascend to Jerusalem, on the old Roman road passing Wadi Kelt, the rift known as the Valley of the Shadow of Death. Along the road view the St. George Monastery and the Inn of the Good Samaritan (Luke, 10:30). From here we join the main road leading to the golden city - Jerusalem.
