Welcome to the exciting MGM-Studio's theme park. This has so many wonderful shows to see and thrilling rides. You don't want to miss a single event so spend the whole day, have dinner at one of the great restaurants and then watch the magical show of FANTASMIC. Have a day filled with ACTION!

HOLLYWOOD BOULEVARD/ECHO LAKE

"DISNEY'S DOUG LIVE!"
Based on ABC's hit animated TV series, Doug live is a musical stage show. It's a combination of live performers and animation. Stop and take a look it's a great show that if your lucky and get picked you can be part of Doug's day. Make sure you arrive early enough before the show because they tend to fill up fast.

ATAS HALL OF FAME
An outdoor gallery with likenesses of the honorees of the Academy awards. This is fun to check out at night. Walk thru and see all the star names on display.

DISNEY RADIO STUDIOS
The radio studios broadcast the following network shows every week."Mickey and Minnie's Tune Time" live with B.B.Good.Super Gold with Mike Harvey.

INDIANA JONES EPIC STUNT SPECTACULAR
A live and thrilling show based on the movie Indiana Jones. The stunts are live and can be quite loud, yet very exciting. This show is currently being refurbished and will re-open June 19,2000. Go back to New York Ave and they have a temporary stunt show until this show re-opens.

SOUNDS DANGEROUS STARRING DREW CAREY
This show is both a hair-raising and hilarious. The fun takes place daily at the ABC Sound Studio. This show is mainly in the dark. It's very funny, don't miss it.

STAR TOURS
Step into your spacecraft with about 30 other guests and take off for----who knows. The pilot of the spacecraft is a very bad driver. This ride is a great simulator. This is one of my favorite rides. Make sure you go early because you tend to walk right in. This is a fastpass ride.

THE GREAT MOVIE RIDE
Located in the reproduction of Mann's Chinese Theatre, this is Audio-Animatronics which takes you thru history but has some surprises around the corner. The horse in the picture was the actual horse from the movie Mary Poppins.

BACKSTAGE PASS
A journey behind the scenes of the making of 101 Dalmations. See the actual wardrobes and Cruella's car.

DISNEY'S "TOY STORY" CHARACTER GREETINGS
Meet Buzz and Woody and all your favorites in special character appearances. Held daily on Mickey Avenue.

DISNEY-MGM STUDIOS BACKLOT TOUR
A 30 minute shuttle ride behind the scenes of a working production studio. You'll get a look at "George of the Jungle's" home. Keep in mind the ending to this ride can be very HOT.

THE AMERICAN FILM INSTITUTE SHOWCASE
Visit the all-new Creatures of Distinction Exhibit and see the models, puppets,etc that played in some of your favorite movies. This actually was a very interesting tour. Try it.

NEW YORK STREET/BACKLOT

"DISNEY'S THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME"
A wonderful musical which comes alive on stage. Get actors and singers. We had wonderful seats (not behind a pole, watch out for that) The show is fabulous and I recommend it highly.

"HONEY, I SHRUNK THE KIDS" MOVIE SET
This is a playground designed for kids 4 and up. They will feel like they are in the movie.

DISNEY'S "TOY STORY" PIZZA PLANET ARCADE
The lastest in video games and other challenges. There is a fee. This is a great place for lunch.

JIM HENSON'S MUPPET VISION 3D
What a wonderful special effects show. The 3D is great and the characters are a lot of fun. Keep your glasses on. The pictures next to this are the Muppet sign outside the Theatre and Miss Piggy's dresses which are hanging up inside the Theatre.

"BEAUTY AND THE BEAST"--LIVE ON STAGE
Disney's Academy Award winning classic comes to life in a Broadway style stage production. I never miss this show no matter how many times I have seen it. Click on the Beauty and Beast picture and you can see a page just full of photo's

"THE TWILIGHT ZONE TOWER OF TERROR
Did you ever think you would want to drop suddenly from 13 stories high in an elevator. Just listen to the screams coming from that old haunted looking hotel. They have even added a little something new to the ride. I will never tell. I will tell you that this is a fastpass ride so get your's right away so to avoid the long wait.

FANTASMIC
This is an exciting, spectacular demonstration of lazers and fireworks. A great way to end your day at the park. Do not miss this. I have not even touched on theincredible extravaganza of this performance. This has to be the best show in all the parks. Get there early (1 1/2 hours before the show) or eat at the Brown Derby or Mama's and get VIP seats. We did this an it was well worth it. The food at the Brown Derby was great.

ROCK 'n' ROLLER COASTR STARRING AEROSMITH
This is for all you dare devils out there. Hold on because you will go 0 to 60 miles an hour in 2.8 SECONDS. All this to Aerosmith music. I believe you hear the music from 128 speakers stationed around the coaster. My 9 nine year old went on this ride and said she didn't even hear the music. I guess this must tell you that your not concentrating on the music. She was a little shakey after this ride but she loved it and earned her tee shirt from her father.  Oh yes, the car in this picture is upside down. Guess what you'll be doing?

ANIMATION COURTYARD

BEAR IN THE BIG BLUE HOUSE
Laugh and play with Bear and all his friends at his Big Blue House. We took our little one to see it and she loved it. It can seem a little long for the older kids which includes the adults.

VOYAGE OF THE LITTLE MERMAID
Animation, live performers, puppetry, lasers, and special effects take you under the sea to Ariel's world. This is a fun little show and also is a fastpass show. Believe it or not this fills up fast so use the fastpass and enjoy the show. Do you have an umbrella?

THE MAGIC OF DISNEY ANIMATION
This is a wonderful tour through a real animation studio. Great fun and very informative. We took this tour and as the children were not thrilled the adults enjoyed it. It is a nice break from the noise and crowds. It's very interesting and educational.
