AFRICA & CONSERVATION STATION

KILIMANJARO SAFARIS
You'll board a trackless safari vehicle maned by a Bush Pilot and narrated by a  Wildlife Researcher.  Your adventure will be across more than 100 lush acres of savanna, forest, rivers and rocky hills.Some of the wonderful animals you will see include antelope, gazelles, giraffes, rhino, zebras, and elephants. Your in for an adventure, wait did someone say poachers? Watch out. This is a fastpass ride and it's wise to get one. As soon as you get to the park head over to the fastpass line, get your time and then go and see some of the other rides and shows until your time comes. Have a lot of film because there are some great photo opportunities here.

PANGANI FOREST EXPLORATION TRAIL
Don't be surprised if you come face to face with an entire troop of gorillas. The Pangani Forest Exploration is a wonderful trail full of lush jungle foliage and filled with exotic East African animals. There is a range of animals from toothy reptiles to beautiful brightly colored birds. In addition there is an underwater hippo viewing area and a savana overlook. Make time for this walk thru because it is worth it. Look hard at the picture and you will see the gorilla sleeping.

WILDLIFE EXPRESS TO CONSERVATION STATION TRAIN RIDE
Travel by train from Africa to the heart of Disney's Animal Kingdom, Conservation Station. This gives you a great look at the behind the scenes work of the Animal Kingdom cast members. If it's hot expect bugs to be out.  The kids love it because they get to pet and brush some animals. Don't worry the cast members give you soap and watering hole to clean up after touching the animals. It's worth the look.

CONSERVATION STATION
Discover how Disney cares for creatures in the park and around the world. Come visit and find THE AFFECTION SECTION, where you'll have up close encounters with friendly animals. Also visit ANIMAL CAM, which lets you watch and observe animals in their backstage homes.ANIMAL HEALTH CARE allows you to see research, veterinary care and food preparation in action. There are a lot of animals to be feed. ECO WEB is a computer link to conservation organizations worldwide. RAFIKI'S PLANET WATCH and ECO HEROES are interactive videos that connect you to endangered animal information.SONG OF THE RAINFOREST surrounds you with the sounds of this
endangered resource.

ASIA

KALI RIVER RAPIDS--A WHITEWATER ADVENTURE
The Chakranadi is a wild raging river that runs through the endangered rain forests of Asis. Your on your raft and suddenly your encircled by fire. Don't worry though you'll get nice an wet which will cool you right off. Some tips for this ride get a fastpass. The biggest tip is take your shoes and socks off before the ride and store them in the center of the raft along with your camera and packages. If your really smart you'll wear a bathing suit on this ride. This ride can really soak you so make sure it's warm out.

MAHARAJAH JUNGLE TREK
Amidstt the colorful ruins of the Maharajah's Palace dwells a live menagerie of tigers, tapirs, Komodo gragans, giant fruit bats and Asian bireds. What a interesting and story telling place.

"FLIGHTS OF WONDER"
Through natural behavior and free flight performances, the talking and squawking cast of this live feather flying production reminds us all of the extraordinary winged treasures with which we share the planet. This is a well done show. The birds are just wonderful to watch.

CAMP MINNIE-MICKEY

"FESTIVAL OF THE LION KING"
"Festival of the lion king" is an incredible performance that combines the pageantry of a parade with the excitement of a tribal celebration. Do not miss this show as it's one of the best. This is held in a covered 1,000 seat pavilion. Every seat is a good one.

"POCAHONTAS AND HER FOREST FRIENDS"
Grandmother Willow and Pocahontas welcome their guests to a 350 seat cozy theater. This theatrical show includes characters from Pocahontas and live creatures from the forest. Come see the bunnies, birds, rats and even snakes.

CHARACTER GREETING PAVILIONS
Many of the wonderful Disney Characters are ready to meet you and sign your autograph book. You can find Winnie the Pooh, Tigger and Eeyore. But wait you'll also see Rafiki, Timon, and Baloo. Minnie mouse can be found in her very own garden and when she's resting, Goofy and Pluto step in for a visit. Mickey Mouse can be found in his own state park pavilion.

DINOLAND U.S.A.

Dinosaur
You enter the Dino Institute to study creatures that roamed the earth millions of years ago then suddenly you're hurtling back 65 million years to rescue the last dinosaur from extinction. What a ride be sure to hold on. This is a fastpass ride. Tip if you sit on the left of the jeep you tend to be closer to the action. Have fun.

TARZAN ROCKS
This is a high energy rock concert featuring Tarzan, Jane, Terk and a cast of very talented gymnasts. This is a great show and worth the wait. Make sure you get in line at least 45 minutes before the show starts. Seat at the top of the first level inside next to the ramp because the performers come right up and you can get some real nice photo's. Have a great show.

THE BONEYARD
This giant playground allows you to dig for the remains of triceratops, T-rex and other lost giants.

THE 1999 DINOSAUR JUBILEE
This exhibit includes prehistoric artifacts and skeletons of some of the most famous dinosaur specimens ever found in America.

FOSSIL PREPARATION LAB
Watch as real paleontologists prepare the bones of some ancient fossils.

THE TREE OF LIFE
The Tree of Life is the icon of Disney's Animal Kingdom Park.The tree stands 14 stories high and is 50 feet in diameter at its base. There are more than 300 animal forms carved into the tree. The surrounding area of the tree is filled with live animals, such as, otters, flamingos, tamarins, lemurs, tortoises, colorful ducks, storks,cranes and cockatoos. This is a magical sight. IT'S TOUGH TO BE A BUG!
Hosted by no other than Flik this show is inside the Tree of Life. Can you believe that inside a tree there is a 430-seat theater. This is one performance that truly will be crawlin with special effects. Do not miss this, it's great. Small children may not are for this show as it is a little scarey.

SAFARI VILLAGE TRAILS
Explore the paths around the Tree Of Life and find many exotic animals. You will see lemurs, kangaroos and many more.
