The Disney Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground has more than 700 acres of cypress and pine trees. You will not believe the site you will see. Tucked in among the campsites are 408 airconditioned Wilderness Cabins. The cabins come complete with maid service so you don't have to worry about cleaning up the place yourself. Remember your on vacation. |

The cabins at the Fort Wilderness Resort range from $184.00 per night up to $264.00 per night. There are 408 cabins available. There is the Wilderness home (which is a little less expensive) and the Wilderness Cabin. Cabins include two TV's, a VCR, full bath, hair dryer, iron, a deck, charcoal grill, and a picnic table. No extra camping equipment is allowed on the site. |

Campsites: Fort Wilderness has 784 traditional camp sites. They feature electric, water, sanitary disposal and cable television hookup. All camp sites have a paved driveway pad, picnic table, charcoal grill. The sites are grouped into what is called loops. Most loops have restrooms, private showers, an ice machine, telephones, and laundry facilities. Each site has room for one car. That is in addition to your camper, trailer etc. All other cars must be left in the main lot. There is also partial hookup campsites for less a price. These site are minus sanitary disposal and cable hookup. If you want to be near the beach request the loop thats near the beach etc.There are different prices, Full Hookups range from $41.00 per night up to $67.00 per night and Partial Hookups range from $36.00 per night up to $52.00 per night. Pets are also welcome at certain campsites for a fee of $3.00 daily. |

Restaurants at the Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground include the following:
Trail's End Buffet: This is a cafeteria located inside the Pioneer Hall. This restaurant serves home-style fare for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can also have pizza from 9:30 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. Beer and wine is available.
The Meadow Trading Post and The Settlement Trading Post is available for everyday groceries. Most campers and cabin folk prefer to cook many of there meals.
THE HOOP-DEE-DOO MUSICAL REVUE- this dinner show is presented three times nightly and I have heard it is the best show and dinner available. Great for the adults and the kids. Make reservations well before you go to Disney World. This is one of the hardest shows to get into. You can even make reservations up to two years in advance of this show. Call 407-939-3463.

What To Do: There is a tremendous selection of activities at the Fort Wilderness & Campground. There are pools to swim in, tennis to play, bikes to rent, trails to go hiking on, horses to try riding, and a museum to visit. There are two arcades for the kids. This is like no other place at Disney World. Check it out.

Transportation: There are buses which circulate every 20 minutes providing transportation within the campground. You then reach the main area for transportation out of the campgrounds to the Theme and Water Parks. You This transportation ( BUS) will take you to the Transportation and Ticket Center and you can read the signs from there. |
