Disney's Millennium Celebration

The grand Millennium Celebration begins October 1, 1999 and runs through January 1, 2001. The Heart of the celebration is held in Disney's Epcot Theme Park. Epcot has added many new features and adventures specifically for the celebration. Here is a list of some of their newest treats.

Spaceship earth is a wonderful sight to start with.It is just the begining of the Magic waiting for you.

Tapestry of Nations- The World Showcase Promenade becomes a stage for an amazing street festival, however, it does not begin until dusk. Torches blaze over the water and drums can be heard for miles. Then 120 giant and beautiful puppets dance to the jubilant music. This is a spectacular sight to see.

Millennium Village- This is a brand new World Showcase pavilion which features more than 20 new countries. Take a look and see the exhibits, working artisans and great entertainment.

Leave a Legacy- Walk through a new sculpture garden at the entrance of Epcot. Here you will find metallic tile etched with images of different people. You can have this done with your family and leave your legacy at Disney World. This is a once in a life time event so don't miss out.

Millennium Central/Innoventions- Collectors of all ages gather to trade Disney's millennium pins. A different pin is sold each day and here is where you might find on you don"t have(serious Collectors) Since there is a different pin each day I believe there will be a total of 459 different pins. You can also find pins at the Disney Store near your home. They only have a limited number so get there as soon as you can. There is also New technology exhibits at the new Innoventions.

Illusions- The sky will light up with this extrodinary display of fireworks, lazers,and fiery torches all choreographed to music or as they call it a score. If you thought Epcot's illusions were good before wait until you see this show. You must see it more than once.
