Pin collecting has always been an important part of Disney Worlds guests . This year beginning October 1999 through December 31,2000 special pins have been created in honor of the Millennium. There is a new pin sold each day and a total collection of 459 pins. You can purchase the pins at any Disney Store but I think some pins are only sold at Disney World. Each park has a special designated place where you can buy and even trade pins with others. Disney's goal is to have people meet during pin trading and maybe even become life long friends. The headquarters for the Millennium Pin Trading is located in Epcot on the south side of the information kiosk in Millennium Central. The pins shown are pins I purchased at the parks in February. Unfortunetly I lost one of my favorite ones, Mickey's thumbs up pin, while I was visiting the Animal Kingdom. If you are a serious pin collector there is a club you can join. All 15 framed images (459 total pins) can be bought while supplies last. The cost is $3000.00. You can get all the information at WDW.PININFO@DISNEY.COM or call 407-363-6200.If you do call mention the Disney Magazine and you will recieve $500.00 Disney Dollars. That's if you join and pay the club and pay in full. I would love to see other pins, so if you can scan your pins in one bunch and e-mail me the picture I will be happy to display your pins on my website. I hope to hear from you.
PS I forgot to add my other Belle and Ariel pins. Well maybe later. |
