My history - 1.9 kb

From birth until 8 years old I lived in Santo Amaro, São Paulo, Brasil and attended for 2 years the Escola Lineu Prestes. In São Miguel I attended the Escola da Vitória going after to Liceu Nacional de Ponta Delgada until June 1974. With the instability of the Revolution and the will to leave the island I decided to go to United States of America. There I attended New Bedford High School, and I'll always be so greatful to my guidance counselor, Judith McMahon Bolton. After the Tofel and SAT I opted to remain in that area and went to Southeastern Massachusetts University (SMU) up to 1979. I married Filipe Le Velly de Sousa Lima on May 27, 1978 at Mount Carmel Church. While in USA I had a daughter, Anna, and a son, Philip. For reasons beside our wishes we came back to São Miguel where we had another daughter, Alice. Since 1981 I work at the University of Azores and at this moment I am devoted to do research on historic archives and working at the main university library.

I like to spend my spare time filling genealogy charts, using the FamilyTree program. I enjoy writing letters and keeping in touch with people, even if I met just once. While transcribing my greatgrandmother recipes books (1849), so my children could read them, it came to us the idea of translating them and put on the Internet. This is a project I didn't finish yet. I also like to cook, read and explore the Internet. On my free time I like bike riding and twice a year we are able to travel, I love it. Some of the countries I've been are: Germany, Belgium, Brasil, Canada, Spain, United States, France, Netherlands, Italy, Luxembourg, Singapure,Tayland, some of the Bahamas islands.

My likes:

  • My best colour is dark blue.
  • Stone: diamond, and also like real pearls
  • No special preference for food or drinks
