Lose Myself

I will lose myself
in the sea of voices
and fly high amongst
the smiles & laughter
until I'm let go
and sink below
the deep blue edge
pressure surmounts
and my eyes shut close
the laughter dulls
and the smiles fade
and all I see
as I'm pulled down
desperatly
by your hands
is the mirror 
shattering
and pieces of your smiles
float down with me
and shards of your laughter
lodge deep into the mud
corroded with time
and unrecognizable to
that stranger passing by.
