And a note to the purists; If you counted how many of us who were
a little more used to the sounds we heard on the radio also heard
Newgrass Revival and found a music we could relate to, and followed
that interest further in, to find that there was more traditional
bluegrass we loved too, you'd probably send Sam Bush a thank-you note.
Newgrass Revival is responsible for bringing in a huge number of dyed-in-the-wool
bluegrass lovers. Alison Krauss is doing the same thing. Don't consider
artists like this as some kind of traitors; consider them bait on the
hook. Now it's your job to finish reeling them fish in. So
stop your bitching and pick a little harder.
