Alaska

The Last Frontier

These are photos from my recent cruise in Alaska. What a beautiful state and a cruise is a perfect way to see the Inner Passage down the coast from Ancorage to Vancouver, Canada.

This is Reid Glacier in Glacier Bay. Northwest of Juneau, Glacier Bay presents a constantly changing face with 16 magnificent blue ice tidewater glaciers. Our ship was the "Regal Princess" and you see her top deck here. For more info. on Princess Cruises, go here.

Sunning Is A State Of Mind

The glacier in the background is the Mendenhall Glacier, a huge river of ice just at the doorstep of Juneau, Alaska's capitol.

Totems In Ketchikan

The largest collection of totem poles in Alaska and the world can be seen in and around Ketchikan. They tell the story of the Tlingit Indians. Many old totems from around the area have been brought here and restored to preserve local Indian artwork and culture.
I hope to post more pictures soon.
