Here are the 13 most recent photos i scanned of A R U B A : ENJOY!
This is one of the Carnival participants. Carnival takes place after Christmas time (Jan 10th - Feb 24th) and consists of parades, floats and steel and brass bands, but some hotels will do a mini Carnival show to give their guests a taste of what it's like. It's pretty fun and (as you can see) the costumes are a BLAST!!
This is a popular place to dive since this is a ship wreck (sticking partially out of the water).
Here is ARUBA's famous California Lighthouse! I apologize that it is so far off in this photo, but I was on a boat and I could not find any closer shots of it.
Here is the entrance to one of Aruba's caves. Thanks to Albert, who has lived in Aruba for 4 years and left me a message in my guestbook - I can tell you the name of this cave is Guadirikiri. There are four caves on Aruba: - Guadirikiri (with bats!) - Fontein (with bats!) - Huliba & Tunnel of Love. It may be a little difficult to make out this photo, but starting at the bottom center and rising up diagonally toward the right is a staircase to climb to the mouth or opening. It looks really neat!
This area is another of Aruba's tourist attractions. On the photographer's side of this picture are the Rock Formations. These are HUGE rocks (10 times the size of the one seen here!) that have been placed in such a way that you can travel under and to the top of them. How they got there is unknown. P.S.- that's me in that rock (1986)!
Here is a shot of the Rock Formations, which are located in Aruba's Arikok National Park. I took this image from www.ArubaNationalParks.com, where you can find much more information about Arikok!
A house. Some of the homes in aruba actually look like this! Since I have put this photo here, Someone (I will include your name soon - I promise!) has informed me that this is his relative's house!
