Hi my name is Uditha C. Piyasena. I am from Sri Lanka. I am a 28 year old male. I did my primary and secondary education at the D.S.Senanayake College, Colombo, Sri Lanka. I have also completed the first stage of CIMA. But I was unable to complete it due to the fact that I was offered the opportunity to join the SLAF and go to the US to continue my higher studies in Electrical Engineering.
Therefore I am an Officer in the Sri Lanka Air Force. I graduated from the US Air Force Academy in 1998 , with a BSc in Electrical Engineering and Mathematical Science. After that I went back to Sri Lanka and started serving in my Air Force.
But after some time I was able to come back to the USA to do my Masters at the University of Wyoming in Laramie WY. I got my Masters in Electrical Engineering in 2000. So now I am back in the SLAF and I am working on our premier engineering wing where we do most of our major repairs to all the arcraft ni our inventory. Furthermore in addition to all this work I also lecture our cadets whenever I am asked by the SLAF..
There are 4 in my family. My mother, brother and my sister. I am the youngest in our family. My father died in 1984. My mother's name is Maureen. My brother's name is Thulitha. He is 32 years old. My sister's name is Hasanika. She is 31 years old.
My hobbies are DANCING and listening to MUSIC. I love all kinds of music and types of dancing (yes, even country and western). But I love Swing Dancing a lot. But I do not get to dance that much anymore since I am always swamped with work. I followed my interest in music by working as a DJ for the USAFA radio station during my four years at that institution. Also I love to play sports like Basket Ball and Tennis. In fact I represented my high school (DSSC) in both of those sports.
