THE JOI OF BODYPAINTING


 Since the 60's the beautiful art of bodypainting has resurfaced on the beaches of California. The person mainly responsible for this is a world-renowned artist named Joi. She began her artwork on Black's Beach in San Diego, California on Easter Sunday, 1974. She kept the art alive until she moved to northern California in 1991. During this time she had appeared in 3 Naturist's videos of which two, have been featured on Playboy Channel. She received her Art training at Indiana State University in Pennsylvania with a Master Equivalent in Art Education. Prior to her arrival on Black's Beach she taught Art in public schools for 10 years. As of 1997, she has relocated to Orlando, Florida area, where she continues with her face and body painting art in the Southeast now.
