Khorfakkan is a pleasant place to while away the time between dives or for staying overnight. There are restaurants of every of every kind, Arab, Indian, Iranian, continental and fast food. The pace of life is much more relaxed than in Dubai or Abu Dhabi. You can walk along the Corniche (beach boulevard) and shop in the local souk. Khorfakkan is a good place to buy fresh fish and for viewing picturesque dhows loading cargo for African and Asian ports. The people, both local and expatriate, are friendly and helpful. If the weather is not too hot you may enjoy a picnic on a nearby beach or in the shade of a big acacia tree. Come to Khorfakkan. You'll take some pleasant memories of this peaceful town back to your own country. Photo courtesy of Anwi Shiblaq, Hadara Bookshop in Dubai.
