Disney's Boardwalk Resort

Disney's Boardwalk Resort captures all the charm and beauty of the 1920's Mid-Atlantic coast. More than just a resort, it is a complete entertainment destination, since on the boardwalk sit many tantalizing shops, restaurants, and nightclubs. Situated on the shore of peaceful Cresent Lake, the boardwalk is a real hot spot at night, when it is lit by strings of lights, and it's three nightclubs are in full swing. The three nightclubs are: the Atlantic Dance, probably the most elegant club at Walt Disney World - you can drink champagne and do the swing; Jellyrolls, a lively piano bar, where they will play practically any request; and the ESPN Club, a restaurant and bar with 70 televisions broadcasting live sports events! During the day, magicians, jugglers, and stilt-walkers entertain guests strolling on the Boardwalk. The resort part of Disney's Boardwalk Resort is divided into two seperate accomodations: The Boardwalk Inn and The Boardwalk Villas. The Inn overlooks the boardwalk itself and has 378 beautiful rooms. Each spacious room contains two queen-size beds, a daybed, table and chairs, and a large bathroom. The Villas offer studios, and one-, two-, and three-bedroom villas. Each studio features a queen-size, double sleeper sofa, and a wet bar with a microwave, cofeemaker, and small refrigerator. The one-, two-, and three-bedroom villas each contain a dining room, fully equipped kitchen, laundry facilities, whirlpool tub, VCR, a king-size bed in the master bedroom, a queen sleeper sofa in the living room, and two queen-size beds in each additional bedroom. Recreation at this resort includes biking, a health club, two arcades, a playground for kids, tennis, swimming, jogging, and even equipment for such varied activities as croquet, shuffleboard, and frisbee. For swimming, there is a large pool with a 200-foot water slide themed to a wooden roller coaster, plus two quiet pools, and three whirlpools. For food at Disney's Boardwalk Resort, there is the Boardwalk Bakery, the Flying Fish Café, Spoodles, the Leaping Horse Libations pool bar, Seashore Sweets, Big River Grille & Brewing Works, and the Belle Vue Room lounge, where you can listen to antique radios as you play old-fashioned board games. These restaurants serve seafood, steak, mediterranean cuisine, sandwhiches, salads, baked goods, ice cream, snacks, drinks, etc. Shops at this resort include Dundy's Sundries, Character Carnival, Screen Door General Store, Thimbles & Threads, and Wyland Galleries. They sell Disney character merchandise, clothing, groceries, snacks, art, film, etc.
