The Caribbean Beach Resort is beautifully themed to the Caribbean. This 200-acre resort is made up of five villages arranged around a 45-acre lake. Each village is made up of clusters of two-story buildings(that contain the rooms), a pool, laundry facilities, and a small white sand beach. Guests should be warned though that there is no swimming in the lake due to boat traffic. Each room contains two double size beds, a large bathroom with two sinks, a safe, a minibar, and a cofeemaker. Guests check in at the Custom House; check in time is 3pm and checkout time is 11am. All the shops and restaurants are located at Old Port Royale. A large building that looks like a Caribbean marketplace. Inside you will find an arcade, shops, and counter-service restaurants that serve pizza, pasta, chicken, hamburgers, soups, salads, and baked goods. The shops include the Calypso Straw Market, and the Calypso Trading Post; they sell clothing, Disney character merchandise, and sundries. The only sit down restaurant at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort is the Captain's Tavern, and it serves prime rib, chicken, pork loin, etc. For drinks, there is the Banana Cabana beside the pool, which also offers light snacks. Outside Old Port Royale is the main swimming pool complete with a slide and waterfall. Other recreational activities include renting sailboats, water sprites, canopy boats, canoes, pedal boats, and bikes to ride around the resort. All the boats and bikes can be rented at the Barefoot Bay Bike Works and Boat Yard located near Old Port Royale.
