Voyage of the Little Mermaid is an enchanting performance full of special effects. As the show starts, lasers create waves over your head, and a mist of water adds to the undersea effect. Flounder and Sebastian appear, along with many other undersea puppets, to perform the popular musical number "Under the Sea". The story, which is basically the same as the 1989 film, uses film clips, live actors for Ariel and Eric, and a monstrous Ursula puppet. The special effects in this 17-minute show, which include a thunder storm, and a curtain made out of water, are some of the best created for a live stage show at Walt Disney World.
Interesting and little known facts
-the role of Ariel was once played by Leanza Cornett, who later became Miss America!
