River Country
For a quieter water park adventure, guests should head on over to River Country. Themed to an old-fashioned swimming hole reminiscent of Tom Sawyer, River Country is considerably smaller and generally less busy than the other two water parks. Although smaller, it is still extremely fun, with stuff for the whole family. The main attraction at River Country is Bay Cove, the huge swimming area that is actually a part of Bay Lake. Scattered around Bay Cove are many different activites that you might find at an old-fashioned swimming hole, such as a rope and an old ship's boom to swoop into the water. If you yearn for more speed, you can hold onto a pulley and zoom down a long cable sloping into Bay Cove. The other attractions at River Country include White Water Rapids, a leisurely, yet very fun, inner-tube trip through a series of chutes and pools; Whoop 'n Holler Hollow, two twisting slides that shoot you into Bay Cove; Cypress Point, a beautiful nature trail; Kiddie Cove, a swimming area for small children; and Upstream Plunge, a heated, chlorinated swimming pool that has two extremely short slides that shoot you out into the air seven feet above the water. These two slides are the most thrilling things at River Country. The restaurants at River Country include Pop's Place and The Waterin' Hole, and they serve chicken, sandwiches, baked beans, ice cream, etc. The only shop at river Country is River Relics, which sells towels, sunscreen, film, etc.
