Test Track

Epcot's most exciting and thrilling ride, Test Track takes guests through Disney's version of an automobile testing facility. While waiting in the twisting line, guests pass by many of the tests that are done before a car is even put together, involving tires, airbags, seats, etc. In a preshow, guests watch a short film which explains the tests that your car is going to be put through. Once guests get seated in the 6-person roadster, the real fun begins. An acceleration test up a steep incline is followed by a cobblestone road to test suspension. The brakes are tested next, which is alot of fun, by having the car attempt to turn a fast corner, first without ABS and then with ABS. The next tests are extreme, extreme hot and cold that is, as cars travel through a hot chamber, and then a cold chamber, followed by the corrosion room, where your car may not be the only thing getting wet. The road-handling test follows, as your car twists and turns along a faux mountain road, and then sparks fly as you barely miss hitting a tractor trailer. In the next area, guests are used as crash-test dummies in a crash test, with a surprise ending. Afterwards, your car heads outside for the grand finale - a long straightaway with some steeply banked turns in which your car reaches speeds up to 65 mph!

Interesting and little known facts
