World Showcase

World Showcase is a collection of buildings situated around World Showcase Lagoon. Each cluster of buildings is dedicated to one of the eleven countries showcased here. World Showcase is probably one of the most beautiful parts of the whole Walt Disney World Resort because every pavilion and surrounding area is made to look like it's from that country. For instance, the Norway pavilion has a cobblestone town square and even a stave church (a style of church of which there is only 30 left in Norway today) and also, the whole Mexico pavilion is housed in a huge Mayan temple. So you can visit Japan, Canada, and France all in one day. Inside the pavilions you will find a huge array of things that show that country's culture with exhibits ranging from rides to replicas of national monuments. World Showcase is also an interesting place to shop and eat because each restaurant and shop is appropiately themed to that country with fish & chips at the United Kingdom pavilion to croissants and pastries at the France pavilion. Along with all these other great things, World Showcase is also the home to the spectactular not-to-missed nighttime show, IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth, and the beautiful parade, Tapestry of Nations.
