SHILLONG

At an average altitude of 1500m punctuated by church
spires and pine trees,waterfalls and orchids, this picture

pass the Umiam lake (approximately 15Kms from the town)
a man made reservoir, offering boat rides, watersports and fishing.
The LumNehru Park close by has a display of some of the most exotic orchids.

The town itself weaves the magic of lush green landscape,
clear blue waters and changing multihued clouds.
