There are several pages on my website, so choose whatever suits your fancy.
My interests span from the biological sciences likes paleontology and primatology to computers and web development (hence the page since 1996), all the way out to spinster-type hobbies like cooking, gardening and cross-stitch. I enjoy traveling, and thus have a photo gallery of a few places that I've visited (Australia, England, New Zealand, Wales), as well as photos of family and friends. Also I love playing with graphics software, and I had some fun with digital makeovers... I've a page with some fake hairstyles that I "tried on" thanks to Cosmopolitan magazine.
I have been a performer since I was a young girl. The photo above shows me on opening night of Cinderella. Most recently I appeared at the Madison Civic Center in CTM's award winning production of A Christmas Carol, adapted from Dickens by Nancy Thurow and starring Don Robinson as Scrooge. I have an upcoming show too, Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, which opens in May 2000.
I have a nail polish site which has twice earned a review in The Web Magazine. Yes, I admit that it's a bit neurotic to have a website devoted to nail polish, manicuring and general nail care. But on the other hand, since I first put it up in March of 1997, there have been well over 100,000 visitors to this neurotic little page of mine. Also as a result of my nails page, I've been invited to sample countless new nail products from around the globe, and have even heard directly from the presidents of three major nail care companies. Unfortunately I no longer have time to update the site, yet the people still keep coming anyway, so for now it's sticking around.
Though now I work at a family practice medical clinic, I used to manage the office at a psychiatric clinic. I still feel, and always have felt, strongly about the public's need for quality mental health care. I had wanted to create a page for people seeking answers regarding mental illness, but I think that NAMI (National Alliance for the Mentally Ill), does a better job than I could, so I'll leave that to them. NAMI is a quite thorough resource on mental illness... what it is, who it affects, and what you can do to help.
Want to know more silly things about me? I'm a tad unusual, but I'm creative, and I always have fun. I've written some sick humor (100 Fun Things to do on a Bus), and have won an Outstanding Poetrice of the Web award for my poetry. My parents have a Maltese puppy Casper,
whom I absolutely adore, so now he also has a website.
December 2001 update: I have recently moved to Gloucestershire, England and have gotten married. As my husband and I have friends and family both in America and here in the UK, we have a website up about our wedding now too.
