Geocities: Offers a free USA-based site on the Web together with communities of interest and good e-mail. Over 3 million members.

Angelfire: Offers 5Mb of free Web space.

Wowsites: Offers free sites of up to 12Mb. Several interlinked sites permitted, but each is limited 9 HTML files. The pages and files are uploaded without FTP.

Tripod: Offers free sites of 11Mb, together with communities of interest. The pages and files can be uploaded with or without FTP. A good image collection is available.

Xoom: Offers free sites of 11Mb. The pages and files can be uploaded with or without FTP. Has interesting tools to help your Web page construction and an impressive collection of 150.000 images open even to those without a Xoom Web page.

Webspawner: Like Tripod, offers a free site on the Web with its creation made easy by special wizards.

Spree.com: Offers a free site on the Web with a difference -- unlimited Mb! Creation made easy thanks to various tools. Also is a commercial portal site paying commissions. But does not allow you to have ZIP or CSS files on your Spree pages.

Towne Square 2000: A free site on the Web with many useful tools. Put up your resume. All made easy.

Phrantic’s Trailerpark for the Net Homeless: May be slow but this offers an opening page that’s different!

WBS/Infoseek: Free sites of up to 7Mb on the Web. The pages and files can be uploaded without FTP. The WBS member URLs are too complicated (but use the Bigfoot virtual site service -- see below -- to get around that). Advantage: Their Site Mover facilites the creation of a mirror site.

Homestead: Has many useful tools and helps to get you on the Web.

The Globe: Offers a free 5Mb site on the Web.

Myfreeoffice: Allows you to have a free site on the Web as your office. Generates its own traffic. Possibility of commissions. The Virtual Office Generator (see our Freeware links) programme will get your office up and running.

Bigfoot: Here’s something different! A Permaweb redirection site on the Web in case you change your Web page URL. To see how that works, try our site. CLICK HERE.

NetForward also offers Web Page Forwarding which works the same way as for Bigfoot. You get a permanent Web page address that never changes. Whenever a “surfer” accesses this address they will automatically be forwarded to your home page wherever it is.
