As a traveler to East Africa or any part of the world or just as a learner, I am sure as you went through the previous pages, you have been asking yourself when were you going to see any topic on foods and market

Relax.. every thing will be covered as time traverses. Fruits in Kiswahili is Matunda and Vegetables in Kiswahili is Mboga. Mboga also means spinach and is a word that precedes different type of green leaf cooked as vegetables. For example the leaves of Cassava/Tapioca plant are called 'Mboga ya kisamvu'. In real sense, any thing that accompanies the real meal or completes the real meal (most often meaning staple food) is called 'Mboga'. Therefore if you had rice with any thing, the second part would be called 'Mboga'. Whether it be vegetables or any type of meat / flesh.
