1. Along: This small town with beautiful villages, has a Cross Breeding Farm for Mithun and
Jersey. Along is ideal place for trekking and hiking and angling on river Siang.
2. Pasighat: Located on the banks of the river Siang, Pasighat is the head quarters of the
East Siang district. It has the famous Lali Wildlife Sanctuary. The place is also ideal
for rafting, boating and angling on the river Siang.
3. Daporijo: Situated on the bank of river Subansiri, Daporijo is a beautiful picnic spot.
The water falls, wonderful villages and the caves are the treat to the eyes. Accessible by bus
from Itanagar (via Ziro) or from Lilabari via Bazzar.
4. Malinithan: Near Lilabari, Malinithan is famous for its excavations of the ruins of the
temples. These temples belong to the 14 - 15th century. Most famous are the sculptures of
Indra and Airavata, Surya and Nandi Bull. About 5 km away from Malinithan are Akash-Ganga
waterfalls where people go to take a bath to wash away their sins. Accessible by bus / taxi from
Silapathar
