I made it to Rabat! Things are already crazy! My flight out of San Diego was cancelled & I had to wait for 6 hrs. for another. I showed up in Chicago @ 9:45 & didn't have time to do anything but eat & go to bed. I missed the staging & intro. This place is amazing. The architecture is incredible, or at least it was at one time, now alot of it is falling apart.
They changed plans. I will be staying with a host family immediately. Although tonight all of us (86) are staying at a high school in Rabat. Great food and hot showers!
It's been a whirlwind of travel since Friday afternoon. I'll be sending pictures soon and hopefully check the internet tomorrow. There are 3 cyber cafes within walking distance. The ocean is a 20 minute walk and Spain is a ferry ride away. Yesterday, they (Moroccans) celebrated the birth of the profit. They have been praying over loudspeakers for an hour - very interesting.
