Married 57 years to Anna Moore, he was the father of five daughters, Anne Fay, Patricia, Elizabeth, Kathleen and
Margaret, shown in order of birth in these school photos. Easter was usually a good day for a picture of the whole family, as shown here in Endicott, NY, his home for 57 years. |

For the past ten years, at Harrogate in Lakewood, NJ, he was the loving husband of Adella Lynnworth, the widowed mother of his youngest daughter’s husband. His expanded family includes 8 children and their spouses, 13 grandchildren and spouses, and 8 great-grandchildren. |

Text of the obituary in the Press & Sun-Bulletin, Binghamton NY: Dr Vincent L Casey, formerly of Endicott The healing hands of Dr Vincent L Casey, 89, were stilled on July 28, 2002 at Harrogate, his residence in Lakewood NJ. Dr Casey was born in Binghamton NY on September 12, 1912, and grew up on the family farm in Johnson City NY. He attended RPI. In 1936, he graduated from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, the alma mater of both of his parents. He practiced osteopathic medicine for 46 years in Endicott NY. Dr Casey also taught cranial manipulation at several osteopathic colleges. He was a member of the American Osteopathic Association, the American Academy of Osteopathy, and the Cranial Academy. He served on the boards of the New York State Osteopathic Association, the Southern Tier Osteopathic Association (president), and the Sutherland Cranial Teaching Foundation (president). He was a founding board member and past Secretary of the Board of Governors of New York College of Osteopathic Medicine of the New York Institute of Technology, in Old Westbury NY. In 1997 he was awarded Fellow of the Cranial Academy. Dr Casey was active in the communities in which he lived. He and Anna Moore Casey, his wife of 57 years, welcomed many Harpur College students and international visitors to their home. He served for 30 years on the board of George F Johnson Memorial Library (president) in Endicott, where a room is dedicated to him. He served on the boards of the Four County Library System and the Endicott Girls Club. He was a Rotarian for 53 years, with 51 years of perfect attendance in Endicott. He was active on many committees at Harrogate. Dr Casey was predeceased by Anna in 1991, his parents, Dr Eugene M Casey and Dr Edmire Cabana Casey, and siblings: Edmire R Clark, Dr Eugene J Casey, Mary Agnes Goodrich, and Oliver John Casey. He is survived by Adella Lynnworth Casey, his wife of 10 years, in Lakewood NJ; brother Richard F Casey, Bainbridge NY; 5 daughters and their spouses: Anne Fay & Peter E Trabold, Melbourne FL, Patricia & David Bollinger, Helena MT, Elizabeth (Bibba) & John Spencer, Owego NY, Kathleen & Robert Smith, Johnson City NY, and Margaret & Arthur Lynnworth, Santiago, Chile; 3 stepsons and their spouses: Lawrence & Marianne Lynnworth, Waltham MA, Raymond & Rochelle Lynnworth, Toms River NJ, and the above-named Arthur & Margaret Lynnworth; 13 grandchildren and spouses: Monica Trabold & Greg Miner, Mary Trabold, Peter A Trabold & Dawn Dolan, David Spencer, Laura Spencer, Alison & Livingston Farrand III, Devlin Shea, Clifton Smith, Clinton Smith & Spring Fauci, Daniel & Roberta Lynnworth, Steven and Nadine Lynnworth, Ann Lynnworth, and Jill & Kevin Rand; 8 great-grandchildren: Evan, Carolyn, and Meredith Miner, Livingston Farrand IV, Tyler Smith, Madison and Max Lynnworth, and Brian Rand; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral mass will be celebrated Friday, August 2, at 9:30 AM at St Ambrose Church, Endicott NY. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive visitors on Thursday from 4 to 7 PM at Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, Inc., Endicott.
