Springtime in the Mountains 19 November — 4 December 1999

Some of the activities on our schedule for our parents visit included trips that took us out of Santiago. We drove up the mountains to the ski resorts where Artie and I had skied in the winter. The landscapes that we saw on our drive up to the Andes were spectacular. We saw many beautiful areas of bright yellow flowers shivering in the breezes and many layers of meadows and hills and mountains. We saw beautiful rock formations and streams, trees and cacti.
	Spring and summer flowers are in bloom. Although these pictures were taken at the end of November, it is late spring south of the equator. Golden Thimbles

We took Adella and Daddy to Valle Nevado. It was quite cold up near the peak of the mountain where there is still snow from the winter.
Even the roads are beautiful in the mountains.
