Our New ApartmentWe decided to look for a different apartment for a variety of reasons, not the least of which was saving money for the company. We moved to it in mid April 2002. |
|
Located 8 blocks closer to Artie's office (a 17 minute door-to-door walk) and overlooking a park, the new apartment on the 12th floor features beautifully landscaped planters under the windows, on the terrace and even inside the living room, pictured below. All of these are watered by a built-in sprinkler system. |
Here we are standing with Sylvia, the owner of the apartment, in the corner of the living room before we moved in. |
After we moved in, this very large room became a combination of our former living and family rooms. Both areas have grand views of the mountains. Two walls of windows provide bright panoramas of our scenic city. |
Our dining/music room has a garden outside the window as does our master bath below. The kitchen features granite counters and ample storage areas leading to the laundry and maid's room that we use for Artie's banjos. |
The apartment's family room has become our study, with a guest suite on either side. |
At the left, this cozy end of the study has ample storage, and access to the guest room shown below with the Dresden
Plate quilt that Margy made. |
The door to the right of the study leads to the other guest room with her Maple Leaf quilt. As you can see, we are ready for company. |
Come visit, enjoy our lovely views and swim in the building's pool downstairs. |
