NAKHON RATCHASIMA LAM PHRA PHLOENG DAM: is situated on a side road some 28 kilometers from the main highway. From the Dam, boats can also be hired for going another 23 kilometers up the reservoir to Pak Thong Chai Waterfall or Khlong Ki Waterfall. Here is another spot for treat and relaxation. LAM TAKHONG DAM: Lam Takhong dam is located between km. 193 and km. 194 on Highway No. 2, about 62 kilometers from Nakhon Ratchasima. The construction of the dam had started in 1964 and finished in 1968. The lake-like reservoir can contain up to 3,000 million cu.m. of water and irrigates to 238,000 rais* of paddy field. SAI NGAM: The place is located Tambol Nai Muang, Amphoe Phimai about 2 kms. from Phimai Historical Park. This is another well-know Sight-seeing spot. A road to Sai Ngam passes Through Phimai Irrigated Dam of Thung Samrit Irrigational Project. This is a dam built across Moon River. Sai Ngam is located on the bank of this river. At the place there are many banyan trees of which branches and leaves are interwoven by nature with each other until it is not possible to distinguish on tree's branches and leaves from those of the other. The interwoven branches and leaves extend densely over an area of about 15,000 square feet of Shady area. Food stands for snacks and drink are also available. [ Back ] |
