Pantai
Kerachut is a great place to relax and let go of all your worries. I
like to hangout here during weekends. It's
located further up from Muka Head. You
can either hike to the beach or take a boat ride there. Boat ride
cost RM8 per person for one way. Boats are available at Teluk Bahang
jetty, Penang. I
went there with my colleagues on 1st June 2002 for a picnic and have
fun in the sun. We enjoy ourselves very much that day. Sea
turtles lay their eggs at the beach, therefore you must be careful
not to disturb their nesting ground. Pantai Kerachut has a long,
white sandy beach, it's very beautiful. However the water is full of
jelly fish and it's not advisable to swim in the sea. There's
a lake beside the beach and it's OK to go into the water cause
there's no jelly fish in it. The water is yellow in color and are a
bit warm when the sun is at noon. By the way, the water taste salty! Just
remember not to throw your rubbish and left over on the beach, keep
the beach clean please. Picture
