As I lie looking deep into the shadows I call my mind
I see a spider web of love broken and torn
as it hangs you can see the faint dew of hope
and you can watch it sway in the breeze of memory
tattered, shredded, exposed
Wounded pride and ended dreams
I see myself wandering outside
lost in the dark
rain falling down mixing with tears
thunder crashing in a loud and deafening roar
no direction no where to turn
desires smolder where they used to burn
agony hurt and deciet
are now my only friends
the pain and anguish, where does it end
As I look deep into the shadow I call my mind
I realize what a twisted oasis of pain it really is
Wanting to change it but not knowing how
I live in a hollow world I now call life
