"It is surprising how much older they look as compared to their picture in September.
They have grown not just physically, but academically and emotionally.  I've heard
many times, "This is easy, Mrs. Garrison!"  But before those words, there was a
young mind struggling to understand.

To all my wonderful students, I say "Thank You" for making this year so memorable.
A teacher could not ask for a better class.  You've been the best, and I have been blessed.

Good luck in 6th - You'll forever be in 5th grade in my heart."
- Barbara Garrison

Mrs. Garrison's thought for the week . . .

"Those who love deeply never grow old;
they may die of old age, but they die young."
- Sir Arthur Pinero

and some quotes to remember . . .

"I would rather be ashes than dust!
I would rather that spark should burn out in a brilliant blaze
than it should be stilled by dry rot.  I would rather be a
superb meteor, every atom of me in magnificent glow,
than a sleepy and permanent planet.
The proper function of man is to live, not to exist.
I shall not waste my days tryng to prolong them.
I shall use my time."
- Jack London

"So long as I can see I will keep looking,
So long as I can walk I will keep moving,
As long as I can stand I will keep fighting"
- unknown

"Life moves pretty fast . . .
if you don't stop and look around once in awhile,
you could miss it"
- Ferris Bueller

"You have more power than you think"
- Cal Fed Bank slogan

"Be glad of life because
it gives you the chance
to love and to work
and to play and to
look at the stars"
- Henry van Dyke
