Most of the time you use an ATM you are using OS/2, so, what would you think if the next time you try to get some money, instead of your hard-earned money you'd get a "Windoze 99.34 has an internal error, Abort, Retry or Fail?"... wouldn't you like your daily work to have the same stability your money has in your bank account?
OS/2 Warp has been in the market with the same 32 bits for most of the 90's, without any need to release update after update fixing (and sometimes multiplying) bugs.. The current version, Warp 4 has been out for 4 years now, and doesn't have any of the security failures of it's MS counterparts.
Better yet, today you can find major applications totally FREE, like Netscape Communicator or StarOffice 5.1 (the productivity suite of SUN, 100% compatible with the MS Office and LOTUS Smartsuite, etc.).
Thanks to the IBM's support and the stability it has, you can find drivers to almost any peripheral you can attach to your PC, OS/2 Java is the fastest running in any Intel plataform, OS/2 includes USB support (which Linux doesn't have yet) and there are server versions with SMP support or the most succesful one, that ships IBM with its e-commerce solutions.
It has so much benefits that it would be imposible to include them here, but if you're interested in receiving more information about this technological wonder, you can contact your local IBM representant, look out for more info in the links or you can even send me an e-mail.
