Indian philosophy comprises many diverse schools of thought and perspectives, I feel even though of intellectual debate , argued by many scholars, That Indian's philosophy is the most extensive, rich and complex....To touch the spirit above and beyond diety...As Buddism and Indian philosophy obtains ulttimate truth through a spiritual experience. Mysticism is an immediate, direct knowledge of God ultimate reality attained through personal religious experience. Buddism was of the Ancient Indian philosophy, preaching goals of supreme personal good-Enlightment(nirvana). Nirvana, In indian philosophy was a transcendent state free from suffering and individual phenomena experience.Western scholars said Nirvana breaks endless rebirth cycles of transmigration as some scholars say it involves total annialation, others interpret it as eternal bliss. Again in Buddism a blessed state in which the individual transcends desire and suffering and attains Nirvana which is the state of being enlightened. The enlightenment was also a philosophical movement of the 18th century that emphasized the use of reason to scrutinize doctrines and traditions which brought about many humanitarian reforms. Through (Immortality) unending existence of the soul after death, is a doctrine common to may religions, In Hinduism it is the ultimate goal considered absorption in the universal spirit...Buddism promises Nirvana, the state of bliss through extinction of the personality. Early greek religion promised a distinct continuation of life. In christianity, Islam, and Judaism, the immortality promised is primarily of the spirit. Heaven a place where God, gods and spiritual beings dwell, perfect supernatural bliss in the after life.Nirvana the heaven of buddism is a state of extinction of all desire and of union with the creator, achieved by perfection of the soul in successive passing of the soul.. Buddist thinkers commonly compare enlightenment to the awakening from a dream. The 2nd Century Buddists skeptic and mystic Nagarjuna, and Buddist Logician Dharmakirti, are two of the greatest thinkers in Classical Indian Philosophy....the School of logic layed out four methods of personal knowledge;perception,inference, analogical, and authoritative. Skeptisim challenged it as true knowledge which will never be reached.The classical school of materialism and skepticism has gained attacks on religious practices. from the Western perspective that not all classical indian philosophy is religiously or mystically oriented...Even though modern day scientific thought has altered indian intellectual communities, the indian intectual environment extends beyond the universities, becomming influenced by religious and mystical practices distinct to Indian culture as with yoga. A Hindu discipline aimed to training the consciousness for a state of perfect spiritual insight and tranquility..... |
