Genesis
Medical Technologies recently participated in the first United States
Healthcare Exhibition in Havana, Cuba on January 25-29, 2000. The
health fair was an outstanding success of creating new friendships,
opening pathways of understanding and bringing new technology to
Cuba. Cuba has concentrated resources into their medical and pharmaceutical
industry. They are a leader in current research into vaccines for
diseases that plague our poorest countries in the world, as well
as those diseases that are a constant and growing threat in the
United States. For example, Cuba has joined with Smith Klein to
market the Meningitis vaccines for the world market. In addition,
Finlay Institute, a major Cuban vaccine research and development
institute, will be carrying out a vaccination program in Nigeria
this June. Cuban physicians are well trained and eager to have access
to the new technology.
Exhibitors, in most cases, were able to donate their equipment that
was brought to the exhibition. In addition, Genesis Medical Technologies
was invited to tour the facilities of Finlay Institute and Bio-Technology
Institute (C.I.G.B.), the largest research and production vaccine
producers in Cuba. Medicine Desease Institute, another excellent
center, will host its first physician exchange with Cornell University
Medical School this summer. It is truly a new beginning in opening
peaceful pathways for cooperative collaboration between two countries
that have been at odds in the past.
Shown in the following pictures is the Genesis booth and demonstration
of the needle-less injector. Physicians were very interested in
our injector for diabetics and insulin delivery. Others from the
dental school wanted to use the injector for intra-oral anesthetic
injections. Excitement and interest was overwhelming from the thousands
of Cubans who attended the Exhibition. The primary interest of Genesis
Medical Technologies is to use the needle-less injector in vaccine
programs in the world. Our goal is to eliminate the use and re-use
of needles, to prevent the accidental transmission of disease from
the use of needles, and to keep the product simple and affordable
for all. The product was received with great enthusiasm. Our company
is committed to furthering world peace and world health.
