Lemon's 10 albums to take with if he were dumped on a deserted island!
Keith Jarret: Koln Concert (he improvised all the way through; the first cut (especially from about 6 mins) is like music from heaven)
Sinead O'Connor: Lion and the Cobra (her debut album; voice and creativity at her best)
Marianne Faithfull: Stranger Weather (her deep smoky voice and the music arrangement give new life to these classic melancholic songs; read somewhere that a music critic called the album when it first came out in 1987 "music to slit your wrists by" - what a fitting description, so avoid it when you're really that down)
Buena Vista Social Club: Buena Vista Social Club (the cheerful Cuban music by the respected oldies)
Afro Cuban All Stars: A Toda Cuba Le Gusta (another one by the Cuban oldies under another label)
Zabadak: ˽ (very refreshing songs with a girly vocal and simple music arrangement)
S:SS (her music is also very refreshing and it makes me think, fondly, of the very cultural Taipei)
Everything But The Girl: Acoustic (simple arragement with Tracey Thorn's great voice)
Long Vacation - Orginal Soundtrack (Taiwan version that also has the title song played at the beginning of each episode; I really love the series, and it may help me to think - positively - of my being caught up in a deserted island as a long vacation!)
