Call-Back explanation
International Call-back is a system designed to give the international user, reduced rates via US lines. Quick Link provides a high quality voice, fax, data transmission, competitive rates, precise return of line and access to 800/888 US numbers.
1 - Instructions
A - Each subscriber will receive an Access Code (technically called DID Direct Inward Dial) with a specified credit limit.
B - Access to the system
From
your international line dial your
access code ( from Lebanon 001 + access code), listen for 1 ring tone and
hang up the phone.
N.B.: If you wait for the 3rd ring tone, you will be connected to the Call-Back Computer (you will be charged by your local PTT ) .
The system will call you back in 10 seconds, answer the call.
Dial the desired destination country while or after you heard your current balance using the following :
U.S.A, Canada :1 + City code + Telephone number + #
All other countries : 011 + Country code + City code + Telephone number + #
At the end of the conversation press the * (star key) and then close the phone.
TIPS : To minimize the cost of the call , don’t hear the balance at the beginning , directly dial the number and then at the end of the conversation press the * (star key) , you will be disconnected and then you can hear the new balance and close the phone .
2 - Billing
If you place a call with no answer, no fax, no answering machine => no cost; however, if someone answers, a fax or an answering machine starts the counter will begin from the time you answered the call-back.
6 seconds intervals with minimum of 30 seconds: Ex. a call at a rate of 1.3 $ / minute with a duration of:
1 minute 37 seconds : 1.7 * $1.3 = $ 2.21
2 minutes 4 seconds : 2.1 * $1.3 = $ 2.73
3 - Remarks
1. You must have an international telephone or access to any international phone line to make a missed call.
2. Your
local telephone should be on the Tone mode
, however , if you do not have a tone telephone system,
you should put
the * key and then the dialled number. From a cellular, the DTMF should be on.
3. For multiple calls, press the * (star key). If you miss-dial, do not hang up, press also the * (star key).
4. The
system will call you back to the number you already have programmed. (Not
necessarily to the
telephone number you are calling from).
5. Sometimes there might be traffic to the country you are calling so if you are held for more than 1 minute to be connected press the * (star key) and try again later.
4 - Features
world wide use: You can change your target number to any country in the world .
Target Number Change: To change your Call-back Target Number press the #9# when you hear the dial tone , then enter the new destination number (as in B3) and press # twice , then you will listen to the new destination number , if it is correct you can hang up, if it is incorrect restart from the beginning.
