Asia
It's hard to believe but my first visit to Asia didn't happen till November 2000. Hong Kong was my first city in Asia and boy was it amazing. Picture Hong Kong like New York City but just squash everything into a third of the same area. I have never ever seen so many people before! I guess there are more cities out there which are just as packed but HK definitely ranks as the most dense and claustrophobic city that I've been to so far.
Tokyo was the second Asia I visited... I was quite surprised that Tokyo actually felt quite spread out compared to Hong Kong. Besides the train stations, it really didn't feel very claustrophobic at all. I loved Tokyo for the food. I think Japanese food is my favourite food in the world. I could live off of that stuff!
