In 1971 I started to work in the export-import department of the car manufacturing company ‘Zastava’ in Belgrade, where I was employed for 8 years. Following my employment at ‘Zastava’, I worked in another three manufacturing companies (‘Novkabel’,’IMR’ and a cement factory ‘Novi Popovac’) where I spent 15 years in managerial positions (Director of supplies – import and interior supplies; Chief of export department; Chief of representative office in Belgrade). In my career as an economist I utilised a variety of skills in the areas of finance, accounting, bookkeeping, international finance, commerce (wholesale, retail), international trade (export, import, international co-operation) and administration. These skills were utilised until 1995, when I migrated to Australia.
In 1992 I travelled around Australia for five months as a tourist, visiting the cities of Melbourne and Sydney. The second time I arrived in Australia was at the beginning of March 1995 to get married in Brisbane, Queensland. After nearly four years I was granted a permanent visa and have remained permanently in Australia. In 2001, when all Australians celebrated 100 years of Federation, I received my Australian citizenship (whilst also keeping the citizenship & passport of my country of origin) and am delighted to reside in Australia.
In Australia, I worked in casual employment for four months but then stopped and began studying the English language, firstly in a community service program and afterwards at a TAFE college, where I finished the Advanced level course (AEMP) in Yeronga Institute of TAFE in December, 1999. On completion of this course I received a Certificate IV in spoken and written English. Also at TAFE I studied computing skills such as spreadsheets, word processing, E-mail, Internet, making a home page etc but did not completely finish the course.
At the past, I have been studying the Diploma of Accounting at the Open Learning Institute of TAFE in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia with the goal of improving my skills in the accounting and bookkeeping area. Als, I have kept my level of knowledge in the computing area using the facilities of E-learn centres, Southbank Institute of TAFE everyday, especially in Microsoft Office 2000 (Excel, Word, Access, Powerpoint, Internet). In same time I have improved my English, through written and spoken word, particularly in the telecommunications (Internet, computer, telephone, radio) and newspapers. I have kept my level of knowledge current by utilising my skills everyday which has been of great benefit. I hope to improve my prospects in finding a suitable job anywhere in the world as soon as possible.
In November 2001 I travelled in SR Yugoslavia (now Serbia and Montenegro) and Switzerland. In Switzerland there are many natural beauties and tourist attractions and better prospects for job, health and life, over there have met a woman, origin from my home country Serbia. After a certain time of acquaintance I have married her and at the end 2002 moved to live in Switzerland. Over there I have been about year and half, something worked a little, but not succeeded to stay permanently. At the end of April 2004 I returned again to live in Australia.
In the past I have travelled to many countries in Europe such as Italy, Switzerland, Poland, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece and Austria.
As well as I have lived before over the 7 years in Australia, I have hoped that will find in Switzerland all what it missed me, especially finding permanent job and happiness in private life, but it has failed, the life flows further and optimism leaves not me.
I am looking to improve my life by finding a job, being in love, nice travellings and being in good health, as well as realize my life dreams, together with some woman, future life partner, which intend to meet as soon as possible.
*I like sport, especially soccer. My favourite soccer club is RED STAR, Belgrade, Yugoslavia, and former world champion in 1991. I adore Brazilian soccer players, especially Ronaldo.
*I enjoy music, mostly Serbian folk music and also modern and classical music. My favourite singers are Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley, Miroslav Ilic and Lepa Lukic.
*Apart from Serbia and Australia, Switzerland is the country, where I would like to live, because of its natural beauty and tourist attractions and love.
*I am very interested in economic matters, especially in the international economy.
*I would like to travel around the world in order to see all the beauties and wonders of the world.
*I like flowers, gardens, birds and walking through the forest and beside rivers and the sea.
*I am vegetarian and am interested in herbs and natural organic foods.
*I occupy myself with improving my knowledge in computing, especially in the Internet area and making a Home Page and later a Web Site.
*I enjoy the beauties of nature and tourist attractions of Australia, and I would like to visit many places in this country.
*Many events in Europe, in areas like the Balkans, Yugoslavia, Serbia, Montenegro and Republika Srpska are the subjects of my attention and interest too.
*I took delight in the Olympic Games in Sydney 2000 and enjoyed in the Goodwill Games in Brisbane 2001.
*I would like there to be peace in all the world, and for everyone to have a better life, and people to love one other.
