Now, here is our first
picture of El Torro.
Here the matador is tiring
the bull out.

Next, the picador (on the
horse) stabs the bull in the
back of the neck, to limit
the bull's stamina and movement.
Then, the banderilleros
try to stab 2 banderillos into the bull's neck.
There are three banderilleros,
and each one gets two tries, if he needs them.

Here, the banderilleros
try their hand with a cape.
They try to tire the bull
out some more before the matador takes the stage.

Finally, the matador makes
his appearance. Here, he is showing his prowess,
by fighting the bull while on his knees.
Now, the matador is readying
the bull for the kill.
Next, the matador prepares
for the strike.
But, the bull doesn't
cooperate.
The matador must prepare
again, and here he goes for the blow.
Lastly, it is made certain
that the bull is dead,
and then he is carted
out of the rink. |
