Junior Achievement
Written by R. Cajudoy
Junior achievement is an excellent way for high school students to interact with elementary school students, to be a friend and mentor to them. Both the high school and K-1 students have a lot of fun participating in this activity and learn the importance of teamwork.
The mission of junior achievement is to educate and inspire young people to value free enterprise, understand business and economics, and be work force ready.
Participation in junior achievement looks good on resumes for jobs and college. It improves presentation skills and changes kids lives forever.
Students comments:
- A. Alvarez - Junior Achievement is an uplifting experience and I’m really excited to participate.
- K. Haupu - The children are really opening up. They have a small problem with listening but they’re getting better. The children enjoy all the games we play.
- H. Ngatuvai - We got to see the kids in action instead of just us. I sat with the kids and helped them and I can see what they are capable of doing and how capable they are in following directions.
- K. Robia - The children really enjoy us and look up to us. I feel I am doing a good a good job in being a positive influence to these children.
- H. Johnson - The kids liked the opportunity to get involved. Our kids love us more each time we go. We were both dressed professionally and conducted ourselves in such a manner as well.
