Darius Keyhani

Darius Keyhani, former AOTT student at Lahainaluna High School came to speak with us today. Back in high school, he was a MIL champ twice, and captain for the wrestling team for 2 years. He also won 1st place in an HBEA interview section. Darius is here on vacation for a few weeks. He is now living in New York.
Mr. Keyhani did a very good job speaking today and I learned a lot of new things that I've never really thought about. He told us that we "have to be dreamers in life, because dreamers get what they dream for", by Magic Johnson. Let's take Magic Johnson for example: He lived in the Ghetto, was very poor, but had big dreams. He dreamed what he is living now. Anything you set your mind to, you can get. These are the steps Darius told us we need to take in life: 1.) commit, 2.) sacrifice, 3.) feel you deserve, 4.) then expect it. If you expect and believe that you des4erve it, then you can get it. But to get it, you have to work for it. Darius told us that you have to get exposed, experience, knowledge, and information on your future. And college is a great way to get that. He told us that college is very important in life--we need to market ourselves, look at ourselves as a product. This is Darius Keyhani's quote and message for the day, "success comes to those people who know best how to get off the floor when they hit the pavement."
