Arrive at Johannesburg International Airport where you are met by your hosts. Travel to Pretoria the executive capital city of South Africa. View the Voortrekker monument and other highlights. Overnight Pretoria.

After breakfast depart for Mpumalanga. Travel through the Transvaal highveld, via Witbank and Middelburg (coal mining areas). Twenty two coal mines are situated in this area. The most of South Africa’s electricity is generated in this area through coal power stations. From time to time you can see these powerstations with their characteristic chimneys. A network of 80 000 km electric cables cross South Africa. We are now in the Mpumalanga province, definitely the province with the most beautiful scenery in South Africa. Travel further through Machadadorp, Schoemanskloof to Sabie, an important forestry centre. Visit Pelgrims Rest, a beautiful renovated mine-area. View the Mac-Mac Waterfall and God’s Window which offers a spectacular view over the Lowveld and the Kruger National Park. Hereafter we travel to Bourkes Luck potholes – situated in a cleave at the confluence of both the Trear – and blyderivers. Deep cylindrical whirlpools were hollowed over the years by the whirling of sand and stone. Highlight is a visit to the Blyderiver Canyon. The canyon is up to 700 meters deep and was formed by the Blyde River which carved its way through the plateau and Lowveld.

Early departure to one of the world’s most famous Game Parks – The Kruger National Park. The Park covers an area of 1948 528 ha. 450 Birdspecies, 200 tree species, 138 mammal species, 50 fish, 33 frog, 115 reptiles has been recorded. Over 250 000 mammals roam the extended area. Spend the day searching for the "Big 5" – namely elephant, lion, buffalo, leopard and rhino. Return to the accommodation center. After dinner you may take an optional game drive in open vehicles.

After breakfast we depart from the Kruger National Park and head for Johannesburg, which is situated between various goldmines – we stop at Gold Reef City – check into the Gold Reef City Protea Hotel.

After breakfast depart for the jet set playground Sun City which rises out of the rugged bushveld like an oasis – a subtropical garden and a man made lake creates a magnificent setting for this luxurious hotel. Situated on 6 floors the rooms look out over a sparkling pool and gardens towards the majestic Pilanesberg. Private bathrooms, direct dial telephones, airconditioning, colour TV, including second channel movies and 24 hour room service are standard features. Superb restaurants, from the sophisticated Harlequins Restaurant and Supper Club, to the popular African themed Calabash. After breakfast we leave Sun City and travel via Rustenburg to the diamond city – Kimberley. Diamonds were discovered at a hillock near Kimberley during 1871. This led to a rush of fortune seekers to Kimberley. In no time the hill disappeared and a hole started developing on the site – known to be the largest man made hole in the world. Here we view the open mine and museum. Dinner and overnight Kimberley.

After breakfast depart Kimberley. We are now in the area known as the Karoo. The first impression of this arid land is that it seems endless. It stretches from one horizon to another. The average rainfall is between 100 and 150 mm per year. Farms are huge and far apart. The main activities are mutton, wool and mohair farming. We drive through numerous small villages until we find ourselves in the Little Karoo. The Little Karoo is the area between the Swartberge in the north and the Outeniqua in the South. The Little Karoo has a width of 60 km and 250 km from north to south. The feathers are used in the fashion industry and for the manufacturing of feather dusters, the skin is used for the manufacturing of handbags, shoes and purses. The meat is dried for biltong. An ostrich egg weighs over 1 kg and the contents equals approximately 24 chicken eggs. Overnight Oudtshoorn.

Travel to an Ostrich farm where we are taken on a guided tour. Here you will have the chance to ride on one of these strange birds. Hereafter visit the Cango Caves – which is one of the wonders of the world. Next stop is the Cango crocodile ranch where one learns more about these pre-historic creatures. Overnight in a guest house at Oudtshoorn.

Today we take an excursion via the Outeniqua pass and George to the area known as the Garden Route. We board a steam train at George and the journey takes us through the lake districts to Knysna. Return by bus to Oudtshoorn via Wilderness.

Today we cross the Little Karoo from east to west. On the western border of the Little Karoo we find Montagu – situated at the junction of the keisie- and Kingarivers. This is a fruit and grape producing area. Dinner and overnight in Montagu.

Depart after breakfast from Montagu and travel to Ceres, named after the Roman Goddess of agriculture because of the fruitfullness of the land. Ceres is well known for the producing of top quality fruit. From here we travel through Paarl (a well known wine district). And then Table Mountain is seen in the far distance. Check in at your hotel. Depart to Victoria and Alfred Waterfront is situated in the old harbour of Cape Town. The Waterfront has a large variety of restaurants specializing in Continental, Mexican, Seafood, Italian and Chinese cuisine. Overnight Cape Town.

After an early breakfast we drive to the cable station at the foot of Table Mountain. See the city sprawled in the miniature below you on a thrilling cable car ride to the top of Table Mountain. Return to the upper cable station for the descent. We now depart on a Cape Point Tour, a drive around the spectacular Cape Peninsula, regarded by many as the most beautiful in the world. This is the meeting place of the Indian and Atlantic Oceans. Visit Hout Bay, Simons Town, Fish Hoek and drive past the University of Cape Town and the Groote Schuur Hospital where the first heart transplant was performed. Stop at Kirstenbosch Botanic Gardens, where one gets a taste of the Southern Cape’s Flora – which include protea and "fynbos". Visit the Cape winelands and Stellenbosch. Evening free for own arrangements.

All good things come to an end – morning free for last minute shopping. Depart hotel for transfer to Cape Town International Airport to connect with homeward flight.
