Oh words unuttered
Of feelings deep within,
Words that may never see
The light of day's
Playful shadow runs across
Their obscure face.
Oh silent feelings,
Longing for expression,
That once was uttered
By others whose gifts
Were greater than mine
And whose feelings found
A home in the hearts
Of the ones they loved.
Yet silent must my heart remain,
Muted by the circumstances,
Uncontrolled and inevitable,
My heart sheds only silent tears.
