Tim's Favorite Art

Blue Nude III by Henri Matisse is one of the first works of art that truly moved me. It was the source of inspiration for a short story I wrote, and the impetus for me to begin collecting digital images of historical art pieces.

Unfortunately, the digital medium doesn't do justice to sculptures. Here are a couple of my favorites anyway.

Rodin's Eternal Springtime Michelangelo's Pieta

I am fortunate enough to have seen both of these works in person. If you get the chance, visit the Rodin Museum in Philadelphia, the Vatican in Rome, the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, the Louvre in Paris, or any gallery where you can see pieces which both edify and invigorate your soul.

In addition to classic works, I am enthralled by many works of young, upcoming artists. I will do my best to display them here, but discovering a moving piece on your own is the greatest thrill.
