This wonderful ice statue
appeared behind our house.

In late December 2001, the weather became cold for a few days.
On January 3, 2002 -
I took these pictures of an amazing ice formation
that was created from a dripping hose
that is hanging on the back wall of our home.


This statue formed near the back wall on
the driveway behind our house.



I am not sure why this ice statue formed.
All of the water in the hose had been drained in early November.
Where did the water come from, how did this ice form into what looks like a lady?

I do know that seeing this ice lady made me feel at peace and actually happy for the first time in months. I had been laid off from my job in June and my husband just received word that he was also losing his job. Our future was not looking very bright - but when I saw this ice lady, I just felt good and somehow knew that we would be okay. I had to take some pictures because the warmer weather would melt the statue and I wanted to keep the image with me always.

Were we lucky when 10 days later my husband was rushed to the hospital? A big yes - because thankfully, I was home when he started having seizures and his life was saved by excellent response to my 911 call and a hospital staff that spent hours keeping my husband alive. If I had not been home - he would have died.

Did this ice statue have anything to do with the events that saved my husband's life? I don't know, but isn't it nice to know that we are the only people in the whole world that had this ice statue form exactly this way?

I would like to believe that we were sent this sign to show us that we may have some rough times ahead but we are being helped by a greater power.

I wanted to share this amazing statue with you.
You may see something totally different than what I see.
But then that is what makes each of us so Special and Unique.
