Back In The Saddle Again . . .
Tortuga Bay solidified their hold on first place with a 16 to 3 win over last place Green Parrot I. Knuckleheads took back second place by defeating Charlie’s Place by a score of 14 to 5, sending them back to third place. Green Parrot II stayed in fourth place after taking out Sea Witch, 12 to 7. Coconuts maintained fifth position after their 15 to 4 beating of seventh place Stick and Stein.
Tortuga Bay and Knuckleheads will be making up their postponed match on 10 December.
Tortuga Bay 16 - Green Parrot I 3
Ed Tower and Gerry Waters gave the "Turtles" a big head start by sweeping Everett Driscoll and Tami Tomasetti , respectively, in the first two Singles Matches. Jon McMillan extended Tortuga Bay’s lead by taking the third Singles, two to one, over Pat Pruess. Brian Rooney had the only singles win for the "Senior Birds", by defeating Rich Ferrigno in the final Singles Match. The "Turtles" then proceeded to take all of the doubles games and the 1001 Team Game for the thirteen point rout.
Ed shot a 3 Bull Out, a 7 Mark, a 5 Mark, a Ton 11, a Ton, and a 97 for 11 QPs to lead Tortuga Bay. Brian had a Ton 74, and a Ton for 6 QPs for the "High Flyer Award".
Coconuts 15 - Stick and Stein 4
Ryan Nagy came up to bat first for the "Nuts" and took the first Singles Match, two out of three, over John "Juice" Phillips. John Buehler lengthened Coconuts’ lead by blanking Joelle Fuller in the second Singles Match. Genie Miller nullified that for the "Stick" by skunking David Satelle in the third Singles Match. Cal Howe batted clean-up for the "Nuts" and swept Jeff Doherty in the final Singles Match. Coconuts rolled though the remaining games, capturing all of the doubles and the 1001 Team Game for the eleven point win.
Ryan got the "Top Nut Award" with two 3 Bull Outs, and two 5 Marks for 10 QPs. Of note, John Buehler shot a 9 Mark. Genie carried the "Big Stick" with a 4 Bull Out, and a 5 Mark for 7 QPs.
Knuckleheads 14 - Charlie's Place 5
Larry White and K.C. Jones gave the "Heads" the early advantage by taking the first two Singles Matches, two to one, over Tim Crews and Karl Stahl, respectively. Chip Stivers added to Knuckleheads’ lead by sweeping "Big Joe" Colton in the third Singles Match. Larry Irvin had the "Little People’s" only singles victory by taking the final Singles Match, two out of three, over substitute Chris Pike. The 501 Doubles split, with the "Heads" taking both of the Cricket Doubles and the 1001 Team Match for a nine point win.
Chip shot a Ton 23, a 97, a 3 Bull, a 7 Mark, and a 5 Mark to garner the "Head Head Award" with 11 QPs. Larry had a 3 Bull Out, and two 7 Marks for 10 QPs to lead Charlie’s Place.
Green Parrot II 12 - Sea Witch 7
"Scottish" Chris Davie and Paul Coley gave the "Junior Birds" the initial advantage by taking the first two Singles Matches, two out of three, over Chris Ryan and Alan Willies, respectively. Jorge "J.R." Espinosa stretched Green Parrot II’s lead by blanking Paul Buie in the third Singles Match. Mike "Cable Guy" Gatien had the "Witches’" only singles victory by taking the third Singles Match, two to one, over Brian Dougherty. The "Junior Birds" took all of the doubles games, but the "Coven" came back at the end to capture the 1001 Team Game, giving Green Parrot II the five point win.
J.R. and Paul both shot a 3 Bull Out, a 3 Bull, and a 5 Mark, for 7 QPs each to lead Green Parrot II. "Scottish" Chris had a Ton 17, and a 5 Mark for 3 QPs to top Sea Witch.

Three weeks left. Please try to get all of the scoresheets in to Charlie’s Place by Christmas Eve so I can get the statistics updated and on the web site before the holidays.
